beach buddies

I’m so lucky to live  in such a beautiful place.   No matter what’s going on in my life, walking by the beach makes me feel better.  I try to get there  every day.

I don’t always get there.   Sometimes I’m busy— or just lazy.

Since Carmel  is  Dogpatch USA, Daniel wants me to get a dog.  He figures I’d take daily walks on the beach and get plenty of exercise.   Plus fill up the empty nest.

Today I got a new idea for my walks after I saw this.  Instead of getting a dog, I could borrow a kid.

Great post! As someone who grew up in Miami Beach,I could never be too far from the beach. Love mountains, but the beach is alive and organic in a way only water can be. It’s proven that playing ocean, waves music is calming for a fetus and kids going to sleep. Sometimes the beach is the only place that brings me back to center. My two dogs and I visit our dog beach here in Bonita Springs, and it is a joy to watch them frolic.

YOu’re right about the ocean. Nothing more soothing, and nothing that makes me more aware of where we humans stand in the scheme of things.
I also love watching dogs frolic on the beach —still not sure I’d enjoy it as much if I have to pick up their poop.

we may head out to CA this summer. If that is the case you can borrow Sid for a few hours. He LOVES the beach! And dogs!

Would love to see Sid—and as soon as he learns to walk, I’d be happy to ride in his stroller.

That’s the way to take a dog for a walk!
