What’s wrong with this picture?

I didn’t mean ME, I meant the picture.  And mostly what’s wrong  with this picture is that it was taken today.   All these pictures were taken today.  In January.  When the average temperature here is normally 54 degrees.

It was almost 80 degrees.

Which makes it a little hard for me to think about earmuffs and handwarmers.  That’s what they’re recommending for people coming to the inauguration.

My sister Carla has been watching the shows and reading articles about all the stuff I need to bring to Washington.  I’m really grateful she’s looking out for me so I don’t get frostbite.  Today I was more worried about getting a sunburn.

Looks delicious! Manhattan is going to be 5 degrees (-3 windchill) this evening. And about the same is expected for your exciting trip next week. I can’t tell you how excited I am for you and Daniel. And somehow I believe we will end up seeing a picture of the three of you (including the Big “O”) even though everyone is telling you that you won’t even be able to get near him.

Your weather certainly would support the case for global warming if the temperatures in the Midwest and East weren’t so extreme in the opposite direction. My World Resources instructor, Dr. Drake, urged us to think in terms of global climate change rather than lumping all the human-created distortions of natural cycles into the “warming” category. We might as well enjoy the perks when they come, but we must not let them distract us from working to achieve ecologically sustainable lifestyles.

Ron–Wish you were right about the picture but unfortunately you’re only right about the weather.
And Mark’s reminder of global warming has been on my mind too– I agree it’s a far better idea to think of “global climate change” instead of “warming”.

Right after I wrote the last comment, I happened to see this piece on using the terms “global warming” or “climate change”: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kevin-grandia/is-it-global-warming-or-c_b_158368.html
