over the top

I’ve been known to exaggerate…..but not this time.   Over the top is the only way to explain how lucky I felt last week for my birthday—- surrounded by so much love…..and so much chocolate.

Over the top is also the only way to explain Jane (with an assist from Laurie)— who organized this party at her home in just a few days….creating everything with love, care and beauty in every bite and every detail.     Words can’t describe it.   And they don’t have to—-you can see for yourself.

I can’t resist just a few words: that’s the ocean out there
Closeup: both the flowers --and the M & M's--- are real

Just as beautiful inside--even without the ocean

There was a delicious dinner, too—I’m just showing the most important part…..

 60th with jane

Definitely…over the top.

What a fabulous party with such creative touches! Kudos to your friends Jane and Laurie … I have friends that are hitting the “50” milestone in the near future, and I may have to beg, borrow and steal some of these great ideas.

OMG, what a creative, talented friend. I love everything about this, including your crown!

Elaine—Go for it—just remember those centerpieces are off the charts—in time and calories.

Maureen—I loved everything too. Believe it or not the crown was a party favor I brought home from BlogHer—V thinks it’s me—and tells me I should wear it ALL the time. I’m considering it.

I own a chocolate business so you can imagine how thrilled I am with all your references to chocolate. (At least 100 times in all your blogs).

I am impressed beyond words with your birthday decorations.

    Best Wishes,

    Debi Nevel Drecksler

Your comments are perfect examples of the many rewards of wonderful friendships— hearing from Caren (an old friend from childhood) and Myrna ( a new friend from the blogosphere). Thank you both!!

Hi, I am so sorry to bother you, a year later! I came across your blog and I loved all the decorations. Very creative. I am interested in the vase with the chocolate candy. Can you find out what type of glue was used? I want to do the same thing for my sister in law’s 40th. She is a severe chocoholic!!! I know its a weird question…
    Thanks!

    LORI
