I’m lucky to live where we have farmer’s markets all year round.
I lived here for years without appreciating this, until Jane got me to start going with her every week.
I feel kind of guilty mentioning this now ….as winter sets in and socks in so much of the country…
….while we can get orchids for $5…
…..and plenty of fresh produce from the nation’s premier produce–producing region: the Salinas Valley.
I don’t know much about agriculture, but it’s amazing to see some of the stuff that grows around here:

Oh, don’t feel guilty. On this very gray rainy New England day, it’s nice to see the pix and know there is sun and flowers SOMEwhere!

The sun is short-lived here, too We’ve got gray and rainy on the way here, too. See post after this one—but still won’t trade CA for the rest of your new England winter….And I don’t even feel guilty about it.
