My office (and my life) often are filled with chaos and clutter; but maybe never more than now. I have to weave around boxes just to get to my desk to write this.
I also have so much to do I haven’t been on Facebook out of the house for weeks–except for medical reasons—V’s kidney stone and my back–not helped by what I’ve been doing lately.
I’m consumed in packing for an unexpectedly sudden move to Los Angeles that’s happening so fast, friends don’t even know I’m moving. I’ll have to say goodbye when I come back to visit.
Meanwhile I’m trying to downsize and sort through everything I’ve accumulated over a lifetime. That’s been an illuminating experience to come to the realization that what I’ve called “clutter” is definitely possibly an understatement.
Doesn’t everyone save every art project their children ever did and every appointment book they’ve ever owned? (More on that to come. Somehow I’ve managed to have some fun doing a few quick vlogs about The Drama of Downsizing: click here to see those I’ve done so far. )
Still today is too important for me to let it pass unnoticed, especially here.
First of all, it’s July 4, notorious in my personal history. If you don’t know what I mean by that, check out what I wrote for a wonderful new website called Purple Clover.
In all the chaos, the good news is that I’m too occupied to worry think much about July 4 this year.
The other reason today is important is that this marks 5 years of one of my longest career relationships—between me and you—and my blog.
So Happy Blogiversary to us and Happy July 4!!
