I often get signs from the universe—-and I always pay attention.
So maybe I should take this one to heart. Even though it’s a different kind of sign, in a way it’s also coming from the universe.
Possibly I wouldn’t feel the same if I were a fish…..but I like being king of the jungle. I don’t know much about astrology but I’ve always identified with my sign—mane and all.
What’s not to like? The other major personality traits ascribed to Leos : generous, warm, honest, playful, dramatic, love being the center of attention.
And I’m in good company. I share a birthday with Kyra Sedgwick and Bill Clinton (Happy Birthday, Mr. President).
Our current president is also in the Lion’s den—along with Sandra, Mick, Madonna, Sean Penn, Halle Berry, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Martha Stewart, Jennifer Lopez, and many more.
Back in the day, almost everyone I knew in TV news seemed to be a Leo. So you have to think there’s some truth to that love for the spotlight. (And as I write this it suddenly strikes me that having a blog is a very Leo thing to do.)
Lately I’m noticing more Leos who fit the profile, now that everyone’s birthday is announced on Facebook.
So I think Leos rule—or is it just a lion’s pride in my pride?
I wonder how other people feel —about being a bull or scorpion or virgin—although I never thought I’d open a conversation with the words: What’s your sign?

Hi Daryle,
I am always amazed at how much of a virgo I am. I just looked up virgo traits, and I seem to have them–this is what they said:
Modest and shy
Meticulous and reliable
Practical and diligent
Intelligent and analytical
On the dark side….
Fussy and a worrier
Overcritical and harsh
Perfectionist and conservative (I’m assuming here that conservative means cautious, not politically conservative)
Ellyn says
oops. . in the meticulous category, I spelled darryle wrong! sorry about that!
