M.I.A.

max-photo-of-meHello?  Remember me?   I’ve been unnaturally quiet but I’m still here.  Even though Paul has been hogging (appropriate word if you’ve been following) my space.

I’ll be back as usual tomorrow but I had to interrupt today because  July 17 came and went and I didn’t even salute the day that V and I were married 15 years ago.

It’s not that I forgot.  It’s more like a karmic kiss-off—which you can read about here.

In a world where you can change your face and your body and even your sex,  you can change your anniversary, too.

Our new official anniversary is July 25.   But this year V and I aren’t celebrating our old anniversary OR our new one–which is today, July 25.   Because I’m not with V today, I’m at BlogHer.

So  what could be more appropriate than a shout-out in cyberspace—before our 15th year together fades into oblivion…..

Happy Anniversary to us.  My heart is with you, V, in California, even though I’m here in Chicago, with another man.

We missed you! Thoroughly enjoyed Paul’s adventure (and pie eating) and have tons of admiration and respect for his dedication and herculean effort. But glad you are back.

Savor and enjoy your 15th with V when you return. Happy Anniversary.
